About Hannah's Team FOXG1 Race to a Cure
Aloha friends, family and neighbors,
We are so excited to share that we have joined the 2023 FOXG1 Race to a Cure with the FOXG1 Research Foundation. They are making miraculous strides towards finding a cure, which will have life changing impacts for Hannah and other children like her.
Hannah is two years old and last year she was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder called FOXG1. She is believed to be the first person in Hawaii to be diagnosed. The FOXG1 disorder impacts a child’s physical and intellectual development, growth, and ability. For Hannah this has affected almost every facet of her life; vision, mobility, speech, sleep, feeding, and seizures.
FOXG1 research has made record breaking advances in unprecedented time spans. Several parents of FOXG1 children also happen to be leading neurological researchers, who have catapulted the research forward. Because so few people have FOXG1 (1000 in the world), large pharmaceutical companies struggle to invest in the research because there is little room for profit. So the research needs to be funded by donors like you and I.
We hope you will join us in donating to this revolutionary and life changing research. Every contribution matters and no amount is too small. Your donation will go directly toward moving gene therapy and ASO therapy to patient clinical trials for FOXG1. Please share this with your friends and family and join us in the fight to cure FOXG1. Mahalo! Thank you for your love and support!
