    Our Grandson, Orion, is 4 years old. His mom knew he was not developing or meeting milestones. After much testing he was diagnosed with FOXG1 in his second year. While this was devastating news we could at least know what was wrong. He is loved unconditionally. And gives us great joy when he smiles and laughs. While there is no cure, there is always hope. Thank you for your hard work that can possibly enhance the lives of these children.

About Orion in the Woods

Thank you Friends and Family for supporting Orion and the other children that have Foxg1 syndrome.   This research website has some incredible information on the proposed projects they will get to begin soon thanks to all the support community members have given these past few months!   

Orion is almost three years old and is unable to sit up, crawl, or walk.  But he can roll and boy does he really want to move !    He struggles with eating by mouth and primarily feeds via a gtube which has helped him gain weight after he received a failure to thrive diagnosis as a two year old.   He is currently unable to speak, but has a wicked sense of humor.  He absolutely loves the Muppets, toy cars, loud construction sounds, swinging and playing with his big sister.
